Sanford, Florida Campaign Rolled Out
A
group of merchants and civic-minded business people were reeling from a
downturn in the economy topped with a six month road closure into the city
of Sanford. Florida, and turned to J.D. Hill, Inc. for ideas on how to
help rebuild traffic flow.
This grass-roots effort, funded solely by the campaign’s participants,
provided only a limited budget. J.D. Hill, Inc. determined that it would
be impossible to try and shine the spotlight on the twenty or so
businesses involved. Instead, they looked to the charm and strengths that
Sanford offers, and developed a series of ads that will acquaint people of
the surrounding communities with all that Sanford has to offer:
- An incredible setting on the St. John’s River
- A newly completed park, complete with Splash Pad for the kids, picnic
shelters, playground, and performance area
- Performing arts
- Entertainment venues
The campaign begins with ads running in local upscale magazines. Designed
to be visually appealing and to spark interest, the ads will direct
readers to the web site of the Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of
Commerce. The Chamber has graciously agreed to take part in this very
vital effort, and will host information on the campaign and its
participants.
Future plans will explore the utilization of other types of media to get
the word out, budget permitting.

J.D. Hill Inc. Builder of New Southern Home Website
J.D. Hill, Inc. was chosen last November as the builder of the New Southern Home
Web site.
The “New Southern Home” is a showcase home featuring the design, luxury and
technology which will set the pace for new home standards and the lifestyle of
the South. Featuring the latest and most innovative products available in the
marketplace, the 2007 New Southern Home incorporates “green” technology. Built
by the James M. Krantz Construction Corporation, the 2007 New Southern Home in
Orlando, Florida, will be on display during the 29th annual Southeast Building
Conference (SEBC) being held at the Orange County Convention Center July 12-14,
2007, and will remain open to the public during the International Builders’
Show.
"We knew it was going to be a bit of a challenge at first, since the ground had
not yet been broken for the home," states Jody Hill, President of J.D. Hill,
Inc. "With the help of an architectural-type rendering and some creative
writing, we began to lay the groundwork for the site. It would incorporate the
use of an on-site webcam that would record the daily progress of the project,
and an area for the many sponsors that would make significant contributions to
the construction of the home. Sponsors have additional advertising opportunities
within the site, which is linked to from the South East Builders Conference and
Florida Home Builders Association sites.
www.NewSouthernHome.com provides loads
of information about the project, and will be continually updated as more
sponsors come on board. We are proud to be a part of this exciting and
innovative undertaking.
